RandD > 2008.12.20 (Sat) - Good day, R and I got up early and did some more Christmas shopping done. Got done by 10AM and then came home and did some cleaning. Later we relaxed and watched a very long chickflick. (are there any other kinds?) Later that evening, we ate dinner in town, then ran to downtown Sac with the camera to look for a daily shot and to hang out. The captial is very pretty at night and the tree is up and lit. My apologies for breaking the snowman streak, but I liked this shot better... Until tomorrow, Darron
RandD > 2008.10.02 (Thu)- Another good day, work went well. Bobby and I met for our standing Thursday lunch, the food was good but the company was better. I returned to finish my work day and then dashed home to watch the VP debate. I thought Governor Palin did quite well and held her own against Senator Biden. After reading the comments from yesterday's photo, I decided to go for the shot using candle light as some of you had suggested. Hope you like it. Until tomorrow, Darron
RandD > 2008.11.07 (Fri) - Long day at work, got in early and worked late. Rob and I went to lunch together. Got home in time to give Peyton and Kayla a hug before they headed home. Robin and I watched some TV and then decided to run to Downtown Sac in search of a daily photo. I've been in a creative slump lately, wasn't sure what I wanted to shoot until we passed the Memorial Auditorium. Grabbed several shots but the first one was my best. Hope you like it. RandD > 2008.06.27 (Fri) - Finally a Friday! I was on four wheels again today, met Bobby for lunch at Applebee's, Lunch was good, Bobby is the best friend. After work I returned home and we watched Peyton until Kayla got off work. Peyton is walking everywhere now. We played "two little monkeys, jumpin' on the bed" and we got to laughing so loud, it was great. Later, Robin and I took off to Rancho Cordova for a car show we heard about. I love the summer season, lots of car shows. It was still smokey from all the fires and the lighting was bad so I had to bump the ISO way up and the photos were a bit grainy but still nice. I don't know what kind of car this is but it looks very nice. Until tomorrow, Darron
RandD > 2008.12.17 (Wed) - More software design specification work today, not really something most developers enjoy doing and it's funny to note that we go through a lot more coffee when doing it too! Oh well, it needs to get done and it should be over by the end of the week. Took off for home and got a call from Kayla when I was almost home, she and Chris had stopped by the house with Peyton and wanted to know how long until I got home. I was only 5 minutes away so they waited for me... I woke Robin up and we got to visit for a couple hours before they left. Robin is cooking Lasagna for dinner so I decided to get my daily photo out of the way while she was busy. I grabbed another Snowman shot, I think we might actually have enough snowmen for me to finish the month with a daily shot of each one! Heh Well, I hope you all had a good day. Until tomorrow, Darron
RandD > 2008.10.14 (Tue) - Another tough day but better than yesterday. Went in early so I was able to leave early. I did have a nice lunch with Rob at work, he is a pretty good guy and the closest to a friend that I have at work. Got home later and Robin was sleeping after her graveyard shift. Robin just got up and is getting ready for work and I am just getting ready for bed. This was another last minute effort, hope you all had a good day. Until tomorrow, Darron
RandD > 2008.08.23 (Sat) - Lazy day, slept in, watched some TV and read for a bit. Got caught up on the dailies. Wow, there are so many talented photogaphers in this community! Anyone know where I can find the tutorial for making the "small worlds"? Took a nap, then Bri came over. Ran B and Bri to the movies, then later we dropped them off at Strikes so they could go bowling. On the way back the sun was going down and we decided to go shoot the new Justice Center in Roseville. RandD > 2009.03.26 (Thu) - Poppie, Peyton, and Kayla have fun at Lake Ellis Had a good day at work today, had scheduled a lunch with Bobby when I got word that we were going to be having an SGS team lunch so I had to bail on my friend. We'll pick up next week. Lunch was good, just some shop talk but it was good hanging out with the team. Returned after work, got the design questions answered and we are set to continue coding tomorrow. After work I drove out to see Kayla and Peyton. I took them into Yuba City for dinner at Red Robin and then we drove over to Lake Ellis to see the ducks and geese. Peyton loves chasing them around. The sun was low and there were a few minutes of some really warm light, I grabbed this shot of Peyton and her Mommie while we enjoyed the time together. Here are some more from the trip. We stopped at Starbucks real quick and Kayla ran in to grab us some drinks, then I dropped them off at their place and zipped back home to see Robin and Brandon. RandD > 2008.07.24 (Fri) - I was bad, I said I would bike in but I drove into work. I don't know how many times I had to tell the Jury Duty story but the other two developers on my team were as tired of hearing it as I was telling it! I ended up working a long day, I brought dinner home for B. (3 guesses what and the 1st two guesses don't count) After dinner B and I took off with the camera and went to watch the beavers. We sat around for nearly an hour and caught some good shots. There were at least 4 beavers hanging around and eating. A couple of them came as close at 10 feet. We think they are like the T-Rex in Jurassic Park, if you don't move, they can't see you! Heh.. Well, this was one of the better shots that I took. B took a few good ones as well, I'll post 'em later. Robin called at 9:18 to say she was on her way home, she got a little upset that we went and saw the beavers without her. She has the weekend off so we'll take her tomorrow now that we know the secret to beaver spying... Until tomorrow, Darron Here are the rest of the pics from this night
