RandD > 2009.03.05 (Thu) - Colorful Crest Had a good day, got to work early and had a productive morning. Rob is out on Family leave, Mike called in sick, and Jason was out with a sick kid so I was flying solo. Worked 'till noon and then took off to have lunch with Bobby. He had the kids so I drove to his house and he made Panini's. We hung out and got caught up. I told him about my anniversary plans for Robin and he told me about his Birthday plans for Herlin. It was fun. Back to work and put a pretty good dent in the module specs but not sure we will finish on time with everyone out. We have till tomorrow to get them all done, I may have to go in early and stay late. Took off earlier than I had planned because Kayla drove down to see me and my parents. I showed up at my parents and had a good visit. Kayla and Peyton came back to my place for a quick bite to eat and to give Nanna hugs before they took off. Robin went back to sleep after her hugs and Kayla took off with Peyton so I grabbed the camera and took off on a mission. Neon has been good to me the past couple of days so I ran downtown to grab a shot of the Crest Theater Marquee. I watched my friend Shilpa, and her hubby become US citizens here, it is a very nice and historic theater. It is Shilpa and Sridhars Anniversary today, Happy Anniverary! Grabbed some shots of the Cathedral while I was there and ran back home to post my photo in time to run off and pick up Brandon. Talked to Melody for 20 mins while posting photos, they are all doing well. Sweet, Robin is up now! Gotta run, hope you all had a nice day. Until tomorrow... Darron
RandD > 2009.02.27 (Fri) - Fair Oaks Blossoms Up early, made a stop on my way to work to grab this shot. Work went well, was in meetings all morning, went to lunch with the dev team and Jason. I picked up the tab, returned to finish the day. Was having a wonderful day until I came home and decided to attempt to post my daily photo from Brandon's MacBook! Man, whoever says Mac's are easier to use is crackin smoke! 1.75 hours of pure frustration, I finally gave up, went to my beautiful Microsoft Vista Operating system and was able to pick a photo, make a few quick edits, and upload in no-time. (5 mins tops) I am proud to say that I AM a PC! Microsoft ROCKS! I love all the MAC's in my family but they can keep their OS! I'll put Vista up against Leopard any day, and TWICE on Fridays! :) Until tomorrow, Darron
RandD > 2008.07.24 (Thu) - Wrapped up our deliberation today, the case is over so I get to go back to work tomorrow! I look forward to riding in to work. Brandon had to work today while I was in court. The trial was a criminal trial, resisting arrest was the charge, 4 counts. The defendant was a lawer and decided to defend himself. Turns out that was probably not a good choice. The trial was interesting, not like TV or the movies, that's for sure. After jury duty I took B out to look at the beaver tree, it is still standing. We forgot that we were supposed to watch Peyton, Chris showed up just after we took off. Oops. It all worked out okay. Robin got home shortly after we did, we watched the end of a movie Brandon had started earlier. Robin and I were both tired so I decided to get a quick and easy photo in so that we could relax the rest of the night. Sorry Kayla and Chris about the mix up, sorry we didn't get Peytee. RandD > 2009.03.17 (Tue) - Drive Time [SP, Day 3] Had a pretty good day, slept in but didn't work out so I was able to get in to work on time. I've really got to get back to my workouts! Ate lunch at my desk and then took off for Costo over the lunch hour to get a few more copies of The Shack. Got the car washed and then returned to finish my day at work. Got home and grabbed the camera to go take a daily shot. I packed the tripod and grabbed the remote for my self portrait but ended up just using the timer and setting up a shot of myself driving home. Got back in time to watch Peyton while Chris and Kayla ran to dinner. We work Robin up once, she grabbed some hugs and went back to sleep. Brandon and I had fun watching her until Mom and Dad showed back up. We all hung out until Robin got up and then waved goodbye. Robin is getting ready for work while I post my photo, she will be taking off for work shortly. Hope you all had a good day, until tomorrow... Darron
RandD > 2009.02.28 (Sat) - Got up early today, Robin and I drove around looking for a photo. We bounced from Granite Bay to Auburn, Penryn, Lincoln, and then back to Roseville. We didn't take any photos but had a nice morning together. We went shopping at Home Depot and then came home and did some cleaning and yardwork. After an afternoon nap we got up and watched some TV before heading out with Brandon to have dinner with Kayla, Chris, and Peyton. Still no photo and dinner is about ready so I decided to post a photo from my Thursday trip out here. Hope you all had a wonderful day, Darron
RandD > 2009.01.03 (Sat) - My Beautiful Best Friend I wish every day could be like today. I got to wake up with my sweetie, didn't have to run off to work, and got to spend the whole day with her! Robin decided we were going back to Stockton during the morning hours to shoot more photos at the UOP campus so off we went on our adventure. We arrived to discover that the battery was nearly dead and goofball here left the spare at home on the charger. I'm not too smart sometimes! Well, we used the camera sparingly and got some great shots before finding a local Camera shoppe with great employees willing to let us leave our battery on their charger while we ate breakfast. Since they were so kind, we dropped some cash on a new camera bag. Ran around stockton some more, stopped at a mall to grab Robin some gloves and a new scarf to keep her warm for the rest of our Stockton adventure. I'll have to post the rest of the shots to a separate gallery but I really liked this shot of my wife, my sweetie, my lifelong best friend. RandD > 2008.09.09 (Tue) - Waxing Gibbous 74% Work seemed to drag on today, seemed like forever before I was able to take off. The drive home was just as slow, arrived to a pleasant surprise, we still had Peyton! She stayed the night with her Mom, then her Dad came home from work and crashed here and left her with Robin when he took off for work. The kids sure are banking some overtime hours but I'm certainly not complaining. Watched the news for a couple hours, Robin has another graveyard shift tonight, she is going to be a department head with full time hours and weekends off so I guess it's worth the odd unusual schedule for a while. We ate dinner, played around with Peyton, and then watched some TV until Kayla arrived to take the grand baby home. After things died down I grabbed the camera & tripod and tried for another moon shot. I have an 80-400mm lens rental being delivered this Friday so maybe I can grab a better moon shot then! RandD > 2008.08.05 (Tue) - Work was okay, Robin works a grave tonight so she was sleeping when I got home. Brought home dinner for B and I. Here is my last minute effort before running off to my usual Tuesday night hang out, hope you all had a good day. I'll get caught up on everyones daily photos in the next day or so. Take care, Darron
RandD > 2008.08.04 (Mon) - Had a busy day, we were supposed to meet with BAR today to get clarification on some use cases and workflows so I wanted to get to work early and decided to drive instead of biking in. The meeting didn't happen so I got to spend the day updating some of the other documents. All I could stand was eight hours so I left at four o'clock. Got home in time to help Robin watch Peyton. I took her out back to keep Peyton out of the way while Robin prepared dinner. I grabbed some photos of Peyton playing with the beach ball while we were out back. I liked this shot the best. Kayla arrived in time for dinner, she shared all about her camping trip. All in all it was a nice evening. Until tomorrow, -Darron
