RandD > 2008.09.07 (Sun) - Had a nice day, took B & Bri to church, then went to breakfast and back home to hang out. I did the dishes and swept the pool while the kids watched a movie. Before Robin got home I got caught up on the daily photos and read all your comments on yesterday's photo. Thanks so much for all the comments. Robin got home after her graveyard shift and we went shopping, cooked dinner, and went for a walk. Robin went to bed early, I just sat down to pick my best photo for today's daily pic. RandD > 2008.07.10 (Thu) - What a nice day! Work went well, Robin, B, & Bri stopped by to take me to lunch for my birthday. When I arrived home, all three of them were waiting for me along with Jennifer & Peyton! Kayla and my parents arrived a bit later and I opened my cards and gifts. The best gift of all was being with my family, sharing, laughing, and loving. I am very lucky to be blessed with such a wonderful family. I wish Chris and my Sis could have been there. After everyone left, I had Robin grab the candles and a spare piece of cake so I could grab a B-day daily photo... Until tomorrow, -Darron
RandD > 2009.04.09 (Thu) - Thursdays are for Peyton Of course Thursdays are my day to sneak out and see Peyton and Kayla but today was extra special because Chris was home and I brought Robin! We all hung out, rolled on the floor, bounced balls, ate Pizza, watched Yes Man, and just had a wonderful time. Robin and I took off about 8:15PM to get her home so she could get ready for work. I had a good day at work, we resolved all of our .NET remoting issues. The problems were not related to my security design as I feared yesterday. Turns out it was simply a missing precompile file that didn't get moved over as part of the automated build process. I was just happy that we got it all working. RandD > 2008.08.31 (Sun) - On my way to church I stopped and grabbed a few shots in the low early morning light, I really liked this one. Robin worked today and B was running sound for the youth so I attended the main worship service without the family today. Nick Vujicic, a guest speaker from Austraila, gave the sermon today and it was the most incredible sermon I have heard in a very long time. Nick was born with no arms or legs and, through the power of Christ, has overcome challenges that most of us would consider impossible! His message was very moving and I returned for the 11:30 service so that B & Bri could hear it. His website has more info for anyone interested in learning about his ministries. Last Friday night Briana's uncle was lost in a tragic accident at Candlestick park, he was hit by a charging police horse that was spooked by a flying plastic bag. It has been very tough on her and their family, our prayers go out to them as they deal with the grief of loosing a very special man. Any additional prayers for their family would be appreciated... Well, Robin should be home soon and I will be running off to a Sunday night fellowship and then relax with the family. I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. Until tomorrow, Darron
RandD > 2009.01.26 (Mon) - Making a splash Had a pretty good Monday, doing interaction diagrams today. Ate lunch at my desk, took off at 4PM. The drive home was slow, arrived home to find Robin awake. We watched some TV, she cooked us dinner. Jen showed up and Brandon got back from hanging out with John. We ate dinner, watched some TV and then I decided to to take a photo. Still not ready to try the smoke shots again but was in the mood to try a technical shot of some kind. I decided to try and catch water dropplets with questionable success. I tried different combinations of angles and gel filters with a remote flash and this was the best of the bunch. RandD > 2008.12.11 (Thu) - Good day at work, the morning was fairly productive. Bobby is back from India so we got to do our regular Thursday lunch, it was nice seeing my friend. Got home and Robin was sleeping, I ran Bri home and then B took off in the Yukon while I ran off to do some Christmas shopping. I got the chance to play Santa and give a gift to a good friend of mine. It was a somewhat selfish gift in that I got it for him so that I could get in touch with him more easily. I guess that is a good selfish, right? I look forward to getting the chance to meet and build on our friendship. Got home and grabbed this shot before getting ready to go to bed. RandD > 2008.11.02 (Sun) - The clouds looked nice today but I didn't get a chance to shoot them so I am posting a cloud shot from last month. We went to my parents today and helped set some posts for a new fence, then went to Kaylas to see Peyton. While there we set some traps and tried to find the frog hiding in the garage. RandD > 2009.04.08 (Wed) - Grill baby, grill! Had a long day at work, lots of problems getting the remoting to work on the new system test servers. I spent most of the morning trying to set the app and web servers up for remote debugging but to no avail. Worked through lunch, eating at my desk and trying to help the guys troubleshoot the issues. Slowly we started to overcome the issues one at a time. Got home and Robin was cooking dinner, I grabbed this shot while she BBQ'd dinner. Posting before dinner so I can spend the rest of my evening with Robin. We miss Brandon, going to go see Jen at her work later and then get caught up on some of our shows.
