2008.08.11 (Mon) - Drove to work today, had a pretty good day except the part where I got my father's voice message from yesterday asking if we were still coming over for dinner. Robin and I totally forgot that we had all planned on getting together for dinner once we got back from our trip to Nevada!
Brandon was at a friends house to spend the night, I canceled my regular Monday night thing and Robin and I went over and had dinner with my folks after I got home from work. We stayed for a while and all watched old home video of the kids when they were all little. Brandon was still in diapers, they were all so cute!
After dinner, Robin and I took off on an spontaneous date night. We went and watched the Beavers swim around for a while and then decided to go in search of a good daily photo. I headed west on Douglas while Robin tried to guess where we were going.
We continued all the way to the Folsom Lake, it was very low and we drove out to what would have been the middle of the lake and parked for a while to shoot some photos including this one of my sweetie.
The mosquitoes started to bite and it was getting dark so we took off for home for a quiet evening alone.
Until tomorrow,
Darron
