RandD > 2008.09.13 (Sat) - Hotel room: $87, Tickets: $100, 4 Corn dogs, 4 water bottles, 4 sodas, and some ice-cream: $1,327. Getting a good photo of the day: Priceless! Heh, the caption was Robin's idea. The four of us had a blast, drove up last night and stayed at the Days again. Up at 5AM, stopped for breakfast at Denney's, then off to Stead field to grab our tickets and seats. The static displays were cool, the races were great, the Thunderbirds were awesome (as usual), and the civilian aerobatics were amazing. It will take me a while to pick out and post the best of the day for a new gallery but check back later and I'll put a link to the gallery when I have them out there. Before we took off we met up with Tom, Virginia, and Melody who were working Search & Rescue for the event. We got to hang out for a little while before we took off for home. RandD > 2008.05.25 (Sun) - It was a good day, I started on a 60 mile bike ride to Old Sac but didn't make it all the way home because I forgot my lunch and my wallet. I called Robin and they were slow there so she was able to leave early. She picked me up at mile 49, whew, thanks sweetie for the rescue. After we got home we relaxed by watching a movie (Cloverfield) with Kayla. Then we grabbed Peyton and we all went out for yogurt. Finally, Robin and I took off with the camera and drove though old Roseville where I grabbed this shot. See you tomorrow, Darron

RandD > 2008.18.02 (Sat) - Robin worked today, Brandon slept in until the crack of noon. I took the car to get the brakes done, I expected the fronts were bad but the backs were worse. After dropping the car off I walked to office depot, picked up some things, grabbed breakfast and walked back home. The shop called when the car was done and I walked back to pick it up. Guess I won't be getting that SB-800 for a while! Got home and took B to lunch, then came back and hopped in the pool for a while. It was just me and the pool duck. Shot this photo before Robin returned home, we're going to run to Robin's moms and give some computer help and then grab some dinner. Nice lazy day... (for me anyway) -Darron
RandD > 2008.12.10 (Wed) - Had a long day, got home to network and server problems and had to troubleshoot and fix the issues before running off to my parents to fix his issues. I am really tired of troubleshooting and ready to watch some TV! Brandon got his license today, he passed his driving test and drove himself to youth tonight so I can turn in for the evening once I post my dp. Until tomorrow, Darron
RandD > 2008.08.20 (Wed) - Waning Gibbous 78% Drove in, had a good day and finished up what will hopefully be the final rework of the workflows and use cases. We all had a good discussion today about implementation of the CSLA framework for the application. Database design work has started, we are going to be working with an existing database as our starting point but there is a lot of validation to do on it. I really look forward to working with the other two developers on the team. The drive home was nice, arrived home earlier than normal, hung out for a bit with the family before running off to a BBQ with the guys from my Wed night study group. The meeting was good, got home and ran another really slow 5K while waiting for the moon to rise. I have been trying to capture a nice moon shot for a while, this is my first half way descent shot. RandD > 2008.08.06 (Wed) - Biked in today, work was okay. We wrapped up our review edits in time so I was able to leave on time. The ride home was brutal, very hot. I got home, showered and hung with the family. Decided to skip my mens study group. Tried another variation of the cd water drops, still not pleased. Maybe next time. Until tomorrow, Darron
RandD > 2009.03.16 (Mon) [SP, Day 2] Typical Monday, after work Robin and I ran around with the camera. I tried several self portrait ideas and right now I am completely discouraged with the idea of doing self portraits the rest of the week. I'm headed to my room with Robin, hope your day went well. RandD > 2008.12.22 (Mon) - Peyton did not sleep well last night, so neither did we! I got more sleep than Robin did so at 6AM I got Peyton dressed and took her for an hour drive up to Auburn. It was beautful up there and I had the camera but Peyton had fallen asleep on the drive so I didn't want to wake her up to get a shot so I don't have a photo to share from up there. Got home and kept our little angel busy until Robin woke up, we spent time wrapping presents and watching cartoons. Later Peyton fell asleep and we continued wrapping. Kayla picked up Peytee around 3PM, we took off to grab two last items. Ended up downtown SAC again, at Old Soul Company and got enjoyed a cup of tea before returning to Roseville for dinner at Rubios. We ate outside by the fire and were enjoying each other's company when the peaceful dinner was interrupted by a five car accident just 30 yards from where we were sitting. No one was seriously hurt, 2 of the cars had to be towed off and one driver was taken away by ambulance. It is too bad, all that holiday rushing around and people being distracted, just glad no one was seriously hurt. We called Brandon to remind him to be safe once he got off work. We returned home and I grabbed this, one more snowman shot. Hope you enjoy him! Until tomorrow, Darron
