RandD > 2008.08.19 (Tue) - Biked in today, it was a bit cool on the way in. Good day at work, still lots to do by noon tomorrow... I'll have to go in early tomorrow. The ride home was great, not hot at all and I made good time. Got home, showered changed, Robin and I going out for our regular Tuesday night gig. Grabbed this quick easy shot in the back yard, sorry about the lack of effort but likely won't have time to do it later. RandD > 2008.08.06 (Wed) - Biked in today, work was okay. We wrapped up our review edits in time so I was able to leave on time. The ride home was brutal, very hot. I got home, showered and hung with the family. Decided to skip my mens study group. Tried another variation of the cd water drops, still not pleased. Maybe next time. Until tomorrow, Darron
RandD > 2008.08.01 (Fri) - Biked to work, it was very nice on the way, pretty hot on the way home. Work was good, home was better. Very tired, Ran off with Robin looking for a photo for today. Stopped in Rocklin where Robin grew up and she showed me an old quarry she used to hang out at. It was cool but the lighting was bad. On the way out we stopped an a small park behind the old police station, there was a group of water fountains with a mother watching her son play and get wet. He was just giggling and running around having fun. It reminded me of what it was like to be young and care free. While there I shot the top of the taller fountain. Not the best photo but the best I have today. I'm very tired, my legs are weary and my sweetie is waiting for me. Good night, -Darron
RandD > 2008.06.06 (Fri) - Biked to work today, I had a pretty stiff head wind all the way home, it was a very good workout. Got home and showered, then watched the end of Evan Almighty with the family before taking off to a nearby carnival to get some photos. I didn't take one shot! Robin took a few good ones, I wished I could have posted one of hers but this is Darron Daily so I had to look for something to shoot. I decided to try the CD water drops again. I tired a different light source, a smaller tripod, and experimented with the light angle as well as the CD angle but was not satisfied with any of the shots. Robin is waiting for me in bed and I don't want to be up all night so here is the best of the bunch. Good night, Darron
RandD > 2008.06.01 (Sun) - Well we had a good day, didn't do anything too exciting. It was a typical Sunday, church, shopping, and a dip in the pool. We did go to a nice picnic at Fair Oaks park, we 'ran into' about 80 good friends there and hung out for a couple of hours but didn't take any photos. After we got home I was running low on inspiration so I decided to try the "classic" CD water droplet shot that I've seen many times. I had the worst time. I don't know how the heck to do it. I wasn't happy with any of the attempts and I was tired and ready for bed so I picked the best of the bunch. Maybe someone could share some tips with me on how you nail this shot?
