RandD > 2008.06.25 (Wed) - Another good day today, due to the recent fires the air quality was unhealthy again so i decided to drive to work. I got a lot done before noon, ran off to lunch with an old friend and then returned to finish my work day. The drive home was okay, Robin had the day off and was in the middle of preparing dinner for the family. I did the easy part and BBQ'ed the steak. After dinner I took off for my Wednesday night with the guys. Got home about 9PM and was happy to find Jennifer over. She was practicing piano, it sounded great. It was nice to hear music playing in the house again. After she was done the girls drug Brandon off to watch a chick flick, I grabbed a quick keyboard shot before turning in for the night. RandD > 2008.06.24 (Tue) - Back to work today, I'm already faced with a big Friday deadline. Vacation was way too short! The day started with an hour long drive into work, not sure what caused the unusual traffic but I was really kicking myself for not biking in today. When I got home from work I grabbed a quick bite to eat and then hung out with my sweetie before we ran off to pick up a friend of ours. We all attended late night B-day celebration for a couple of hours and then dropped our friend back off at her place. On the way home we tried to find something to shoot but I was running low on inspiration so we just headed straight back. We were both tired and ready for bed so I grabbed a quick shot of some rolls of black and white film that Robin and I need to develop. Maybe this weekend we can break out the chemicals and get these rolls processed. Good night, -Darron
RandD > 2008.06.23 (Mon) - Today started out quietly. I got up early, the sky was red from all the fires that were started by Saturday's storm. I walked down to the docks and grabbed this shot of the sun rising. After gabbing some more shots, I headed back to start the coffee. We packed up camp, hugged Tom, Virginia, Crystal, and George and then headed back home. Well, back to work for me tomorrow, I had a great time on our vacation. RandD > 2008.06.22 (Sun) - Day three of the Bell reunion and I got up early to go look for a good shot. I decided to run into Chester about five miles away. There was a layer of fog in the marshy area just outside of town. It was very beautiful, this shot barely does it justice. After I returned, we had breakfast and hung out for the day. Jen, Brandon, Briana, and Robin played badminton for a while. Robin and I went out later for a seven mile bike ride though downtown Chester. Later that day we said goodbye to family members who had to take off for home.More photos from today! Until tomorrow, Darron
RandD > 2008.06.21 (Sat) - Day 2 of the Bell family reunion at Lake Almanor. We got up early, ate, then went out on the boat to go fishing with Tom, Virginia, Richard, Irene, George, and Crystal. The weather was beautiful when we left. We were out for about an hour when the weather turned bad so we had to turn back. As we were on our way back we got to watch the approaching electrical storm, we arrived back at camp just as it started raining. Later we found out that the lightning started several fires in the area. Kayla, Chris, and Peyton had arrived while we were out on the lake. Bob and Jason played guitar while we took shelter from the rain. We sang, told stories, laughed, played with Peyton and enjoyed ourselves until the rain passed. When the rain cleared Kayla, Chris, Brandon, and Briana rented some Jet Ski's and went out for an hour of fun on the lake. After they returned we all gathered for a group shot with our red caps. Jen is missing from the photo, she didn't make it up until later that night but she did make it. It was a very good day. More photos from today! See you tomorrow, Darron
RandD > 2008.06.20 (Fri) - We got up early this morning and packed up the Yukon with all our gear. We had the cargo top filled as well as the back completely filled. We couldn't use the bike rack because we were going to be pulling a trailer so I roped them up top in front of the cargo top. We drove to Chico and then hooked up the trailer. Ron gave us a quick demo on setting up the pop up trailer and then we stopped at Taco Bell for lunch before continuing on to Lake Almanor. The big cove camp ground was beautiful, we got camp set up quickly and then spent time hanging out and getting caught up with family that we had not seen in a while. After dinner, I went for a drive to scope out some places to take the bikes in the morning. While out I shot some photos and then returned to hang out some more. After dark I grabbed the tripod and walked down to the docks where I grabbed this shot just after dusk. More photos from today! See you tomorrow, Darron
RandD > 2008.06.19 (Thu) - Robin and I got busy getting prepared for her family reunion. The reunion is going to be at Lake Almanor so we had to get all our stuff down and clean it all up. We took a break just before noon and ran to a very dear friends house for lunch. Bobby fixed us chicken curry, rice, some veggies, and then rice kheer. It was great. We had a nice visit, Bobby showed us some photos from his recent family trip to Disney World. They spent 6 days and got some great photos while they were there. After lunch we headed home to continue packing. We stopped so I could shoot some flowers and then it was back home to finish packing. When we were done, we ate dinner and then ran out with the camera to find a car show in Folsom. We thought there was a small car show at the Red Robin but we were wrong. We drove around a bit and then ended up back in Roseville where we found a small car show at Mels again. We grabbed some more car shots and then went in to enjoy a carmel sunday and milk shake. It reminded me of when we were first dating 22 years ago! Then we decided to go home but I did grab this shot of Mels on the way out. Robin sits patiently out front as I composed my shot. I may not be able to post my photos for the next few days but as soon as I have internet access I will get my daily gallery caught up with highlight from our reunion. Have a great weekend! -Darron
RandD > 2008.06.18 (Wed) - Ahh, I really love being on vacation. Today was a good day, Robin and I slept in today and we still wanted to go riding and we didn't want to drive the bikes somewhere so we did some road biking. It was Robin's first time riding on the streets and in traffic but she did great. We rode 5 miles on the streets over to the Miners Ravine Bike trail and then biked to the end and turned around. I grabbed this shot on our way back. I did't take any other photos today so this is going to have to due for the daily photo. I did get another 6 miles in later when I biked to Fair Oaks for a meeting but had to get a ride back because I forgot my headlight and tail light. Thanks Bobby and Will for the ride home! RandD > 2008.06.17 (Tue) - We had a good day today. Robin and I got up at 4:30 AM to go out and get some early morning photos. We ran out to old Fair Oaks Bridge where I grabbed this shot just after sunrise. I had to run into work for a few hours for a meeting, then ran home and packed up a couple of mountain bikes to take to Chris and Kaylas. Brandon just got his permit so he got to drive the 37 miles there and then back. While we were there, we hung out with Kayla, played with Peyton, and took some more photos. Brandon drove us home and as soon as we got back I hopped on the computer to pick the shot for my daily while Robin and Brandon watch the Lakers game. We took a break just before noon and ran to a very dear friends house for lunch. Bobby fixed us chicken curry, rice, some veggies, and then rice kheer. It was great. We had a nice visit, Bobby showed us some photos from his recent family trip to Disney World. They spent 6 days and got some great photos while they were there.

After lunch we headed home to continue packing. We stopped so I could shoot some flowers and then it was back home to finish packing. When we were done, we ate dinner and then ran out with the camera to find a car show in Folsom. We thought there was a small car show at the Red Robin but we were wrong. We drove around a bit and then ended up back in Roseville where we found a small car show at Mels again. We grabbed some more car shots and then went in to enjoy a carmel sunday and milk shake. It reminded me of when we were first dating 22 years ago!

Then we decided to go home but I did grab this shot of Mels on the way out. Robin sits patiently out front as I composed my shot.

I may not be able to post my photos for the next few days but as soon as I have internet access I will get my daily gallery caught up with highlight from our reunion. Have a great weekend!
